Jesus FERNANDEZ
FERNANDEZ, Jesus
STRENGTHS: Massive frontline player, he’s tough and plays hard. He knows how to use his size and girth to overpower his opponents for position. He can guard taller players. On offense, he has quality, he will punish any mistakes made by the defense. He can hit the three and post up, using hooks and fakes. Can use either hand. A physical player with great competitive spirit. CAREER: Played many decent seasons as a role player in Spain, between the ACB and the LEB (Spain’s second division). After his debut at Valencia he played for Ourense, Portugal, and Fuenlabrada, back in Spain. He settled in perfectly in Granada where he was immediately sent in the starting five, repaying the faith with 12ppg and 7.6rpg in the LEB. He did very well too in the ACB. His playing time diminished in recent years as he came back to Granada after two years in Menorca. EVALUATION: Forward who is reaching the end of his career at Granada, where he had his best moment. Before signing for Granada his career had been anonymous. Not very elegant. It is difficult to fit him into the group as he suffers from a physical-athletic combination not suited to the ACB. However, he proved he could do well on court.
