Dalibor BAGARIC
BAGARIC, Dalibor
STRENGTHS: A center with great physical presence. Considering his build, he has a decent mobility and coordination. Possesses good hands and an interesting technique. What he does best is intimidating in the paint. Good help defender as he ‘frightens’ the opponents. Helps on the rebounds. On offense, he possesses a few moves such as the hook. He has a soft touch and he knows how to move. CAREER: Disappointing. He paid the price for having dreamt the NBA. After his debut in Croatia, he surprisingly landed in the NBA but his time with the Chicago Bulls was a disaster, so much so that he was cut despite his guaranteed contract. Disastrous, just like the rest of the team, with Olympiakos, Greece, he was lucky to have Jasmin Repesa as coach who did a great job of handling him and getting him back on track. Some good seasons with Fortitudo Bologna ended with a bad injury in 2008-09. Back home, Cibona gave him a chance to bounce back. EVALUATION: An enormous potential, he is a player that is capable of being a factor on both end of the court. Unfortunately, he is a difficult guy to handle as he often goes over the boundaries of the acceptable with his presumptuous and irritant attitude. He makes useless and harsh fouls. He knows how to play the game, he is intimidating, grabs some rebounds and scores a few points. Potentially a center who can play at Euroleague level.
