Daniel FARABELLO
FARABELLO, Daniel
STRENGTHS: Guard who can play both backcourt positions. He loves to handle the ball and fill the point-guard role. Talented, he makes it look easy. Has dribbling and passing skills. He creates plays from nothing, driving and finding the open man or working on a Pick & Roll. Does a goof job of playing in the open court. He can drive and score tough baskets, he has good hands. Experienced, he knows what are the important moments of the game. CAREER: Played for many years in South America with a minor role in the Argentinean national teams as well. He made it late to the basketball that really matters, he made his debut in Varese, Italy, in 2003-04 and had an immediate offensive impact, even though he had ups and downs. He played there three years without improving much on his flaws. Role player in Ferrara in last four years. Relegated in 2010. EVALUATION: In his first year at Varese, he showed he had great talent but also worrying flaws, which eventually kept him away from the top level. His ability to score some tough baskets is appreciated. Overall, he’s an atypical player who eventually found his home at Ferrara, Italy.
