Adam HALL
HALL, Adam
STRENGTHS: Guard and forward. Solid body, he’s an exciting athlete. He can literally explode to the basket like few others. He has great leaping ability and hang-time. His energy and attitude is most appreciated. He’s aggressive but without exaggerating. He can score points, especially in the open court: with drives, playing 1-on-1 (great first step), athletic incursions, post-up, rebounds and triples. WEAKNESSES: His style of play is rather predictable. He’s a finisher who will attack the rim and won’t create much for his teammates, especially off the dribble. He’s not a pure talent and despite good percentages, he needs space and to be in rhythm (not a threat off the dribble). Peripheral vision? Kick-outs? Poor shooter from the line. CAREER: He had an excellent college career in the important college of Virginia, where even though he did not put up impressive numbers, he was the soul of the team. He took part in the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, he struggled to launch his pro career. He played in the minors in the USA and in Australia. He made his European debut in the German BBL (14.5ppg, 7.3rpg). Two disappointing seasons in Belgium led him to the Finnish league. Return to Belgium in summer 2010. EVALUATION: An interesting player. His stats, even though decent, did not draw much attention. Since he finished college, he has only played one full season before arriving in Belgium. He has great potential. He’s an outstanding athlete with an excellent mentality, and who performs very well around the basket. Atypical style, but in the right context he could surprise.
