Louis BULLOCK
BULLOCK, Louis
STRENGTHS: A pure scorer. Born as an atypical point-guard, he became decisive on offense when he moved to the guard position. He’s one of the best shooters in Europe. He can score in any situations: from kick-outs, off the dribble, in Pick & Roll situations, from a standstill. Impressive change of pace, he can drive past his man, face the big men and score under the basket. A true go-to guy. WEAKNESSES: He’s at his best when he is free to express his basketball, without being tied down by systems. He’s a scorer and his passing ability is average. He never became a leader, especially at the top level. Streaky, he is inconsistent. On defense, he suffers the miss-matches and his attitude is questionable. CAREER: He was one of the second Fab Five of Michigan State and he was a star at college level. He never found playing time in the NBA because of his position problem. He became a star in Europe, first in Verona, and then in Milan, Italy. Then he moved to the ACB where he did extremely well with Malaga and then with Real Madrid from 2004-05. Moved to Cajasol in summer 2010. EVALUATION: He is undeniably one of the best shooters around and he’s definitely a player able to have an impact at any level in Europe although he has reached the end of his career. He found his rhythm and was particularly at ease in the few years he spent in the Spanish capital. He fits in perfectly in a team full of stars in which he does not have to be the sole leader and where he can explode at any time to change the run of a game.
