Branko MILISAVLJEVIC
MILISAVLJEVIC, Branko
STRENGTHS: A quality combo guard with character. He interprets his role in a modern way. He attacks the opposite defense, creating for himself and for his teammates with kick outs. He conveys confidence and makes the team more competitive. Good ball-handler, he has the physic to drive in traffic. He can score in many different ways: with pull up jumpers, from three, on the Pick & Rolls, with drives. CAREER: Born in Uzice, he went through Radnicki’s youth ranks but he then broke out with Borac, where he was the top scorer of the league in 1999-2000. The following season he started his pilgrimage around Europe. He played in Russia, France, Greece, Germany and Israel, where with Naharya he did little because of an injury that kept him out for a lengthy period. The decline started slowly after his good season at Nancy in 2006-07 (14pts, 4.3ass). Back in home country with Mega Vizura in 2010. EVALUATION: A combo-guard with great personality and who can score some points. He did well in many different leagues but without ever excelling. The problem is that he’s an excellent player but tactically difficult to fit into a group. He needs to feel the ball a lot but he’s not a true point guard. He’s a scorer but without the athleticism to play his style of basketball at the very top level. The team has to adapt to his characteristics.
