For the fourth time in team history the Spurs have a 60-win season, and San Antonio now needs one more win or a Lakers loss to earn the top seed in the West after beating the Sacramento Kings 124-92 on Wednesday at AT&T Center. The Spurs (60-19) were led by Manu Ginobili's 25 points on 10-of-16 shooting (4-of-6 from the 3-point line) in 28 and 1/2 minutes. Sacramento (23-55) had won six of eight coming into the game, and double-doubles from DeMarcus Cousins (15 points, 11 rebounds) and Samuel Dalembert (12 and 10) were not enough to keep the run going.
Meanwhile, the Lakers lost two straight as they went down against the Golden State Warriors. Kobe had 25 but Ellis, Lee and Curry combined for 68 for the Warriors. The Hornets and the Pacers punched their playoff tickets thanks to respective victories over the Rickets and Wizards. Finally, without Wade, Miami was defeated by the Bucks 90-85 despite 29 points from LeBron James.
