Once again, Europe has shined with its presence at the top of the NBA draft. No less than 3 players have taken privileged positions in the top 6: Enes Kanter (Turkey, 3rd, Utah), Jonas Valanciunas (5th, Toronto) and Jan Vesely (6th, Washington Wizards).
Kanter sat out his freshman college year at Kentucky as he failed to be eligible for past salary received in his home country with Fenerbahce. Meanwhile, Jonas Valanciunas was gaining valuable experience with Lietuvos Rytas, averaging 7.7 points, 5.8 rebounds and 0.7 blocks in 15 minutes in the Euroleague. Still, the Czech Vesely is the most established of all at the highest European level, as he was an important piece of the jigsaw in Partizan for the past two seasons. The versatile small-forward averaged 10.1 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.3 steals, 1.1 assist and 0.9 blocks in 27 minutes in the Euroleague.
