CSKA Moscow evened the Russian League finals up at 1-1 by defeating BC Khimki Moscow Region 65-57 on Sunday evening in the Russian capital. Trajan Langdon scored 13 points and Alexey Shved added 11 to pace the defending champs, who bounced back from a Game 1 loss with a pivotal win. Despite a 7-2 CSKA start, Khimki bounced back to make it 14-12 after 10 minutes. The second quarter featured several runs as Kresimir Loncar put the visitors up 14-18, Langdon and Viktor Khryapa responded with a 13-0 charge and Zoran Planinic and Sergey Monya countered with a 0-11 Khimki run before a J.R. Holden three and a basket by Khryapa left CSKA up 32-29. Monya drilled a three to keep it close at 35-34 early in the second half only to see CSKA pull away with 7 quick points. An Andrey Vorontsevich triple gave the hosts a double-digit advantage, though Lazaros Papadopoulos helped keep the deficit at 52-43 entering the fourth quarter. Khimki made a run and twice got within 3 – the second time at 60-57 on a Monya triple with two-and-a-half minutes to play. But Khimki did not score again and Shved scored twice to help seal the win. Jamont Gordon added 10 points and Khryapa amassed 9 points, 4 assists and 3 steals for the winners. Monya paced Khimki with 14 points and 10 rebounds, Loncar scored 13 and Vitaly Fridzon
