Zoran Vrkic (200-G-87) is set to continue his career in Greece. Vrkic has agreed a deal with Peristeri who is currently in 8th place in Greek A1 league. Young Croatian player has started this season as a member of Union Olimpija, which was his second stint with the club. He is expected to join his new teammates in the coming days.
Zoran Vrkic started his professional career in 2004 as member of Matulji. Following season he signed a 4-year deal with Olimpija Ljubljana. In his debut season he was loaned to Postojna where in 5 games he averaged 8.4 points and 4.2 rebounds. He finished that season as member of Dubrovnik. In 2006, he was on the move again, this time singing with Sibenka, where he stayed two years. At the start of 2008-2009 season, Vrkic moved to BC Split where he averaged 5.6 points and 2.2 boards in 25 Adriatic League games. In Croatian league he made 16 appearances and has posted averages of 6.5 points and 1.8 rebounds. Last season, he averaged 13.8 points and 3.0 rebounds in 28 games. Vrkic has so far represented Croatia at youth level. In 2007, he played at the U20 European Championships in Slovenia where in 8 games he scored 4.6 points and 2.0 rebounds per contest.
