Zalgiris Kaunas became Baltic League champion for the fourth time and the second in as many seasons on Sunday by downing VEF Riga 75-67 in an exciting title game in Kaunas. Kristaps Janicenoks gave Riga a 53-57 advantage at the start of the fourth quarter, but Zalgiris came right back with a 12-3 charge fueled by Paulius Januknas with 7 points and DeJuan Colling with 3 assists to put Zalgiris ahead. Sandis Valters trimmed the gap to 2 with 2:34 remaining, however Zalgiris hung tough and Collins and Jankunas were perfect from the line in the last minute to wrap up the win. Tadas Kilmavicius led all Zalgiris scorers with 15 points and 9 rebounds, Jankunas added 12 points and Collins finished with 7 points and 6 assist for the winners. Trevon Hughes paced Riga with 16 points and Janicenoks added 12 with 5 assists. Lietuvos Rytas beat Ventspils in the third-place game 80-84 as Kenan Bajramovic posted 20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and Jonas Valanciunas added 16 points, 8 boards and 4 blocks.
