The Houston Rockets snapped a five-game losing streak while riding hot outside shooting on their way to a 108-102 road victory over the Boston Celtics. Aaron Brooks returned from a three-game absence to carry a shorthanded Rockets squad with 24 points and five assists, as Houston was without starting shooting guard Kevin Martin and backup center Brad Miller. In their absence, Brooks led a balanced offensive output by Houston as they had seven players score in double-figures, while shooting 52.7 percent. Ray Allen and Marquis Daniels tallied 19 points respectively, as Boston dropped their second straight game. "We just weren't ready. I thought overall that it was probably our worst defensive effort in three or four years as far as overall effort."-- Doc Rivers
Two other games were played last night: Chicago defeated Detroit 95-82 with D-Rose scoring 29, while Stephen Jackson helped Charlotte overcome Memphis with 27 points in a 96-82 victory despite being without Gerald Wallace.
