On the day the club announced that Sarunas Jasikevicius was leaving, Lietuvos Rytas brought home another local favorite, signing shooting ace Simas Jasaitis (202-F/G-82) for the rest of the season. Jasaitis (202, 28) spent five seasons with the club earlier in his career, helping it win the 2005 ULEB Cup and make its Euroleague debut the following season. He played last season in Turkey for Galatasaray Caf Crown, where he averaged 16.5 points and 6.3 rebounds in 12 Eurocup contests.
