Aleksandar Cvetkovic ('93), one of the best Serbian prospects and currently ranked #7 of his generation in Eurohopes, has been rewarded with the starting point-guard spot in the Red Star senior team in the Adriatic League. After many months recovering from several injuries Cvetkovic has found the good way and is enjoying important minutes in the team coached by Mihailo Uvalin. In the last four games - all playing as starting PG - he has averaged 3.5 points and 2.5 assists in 17 minutes.
Serbia will try to make a good job in the next U-16 European Championship, held in Poland. The hosts will have a great team (Karnowski, Michalak, Ponitka,...), but the Serbians also have interesting elements (Cvetkovic, Mitrovic, Miljenovic, Bezbradica,...). Poland-Serbia the final? Maybe.
