Following its triumph in the French Cup final, Chalon stayed focus and registered an impressive 98-74 Game 1 victory in the playoff quarter-finals against Asvel. It built its success around the trio Lang-Schilb-Tchicamboud, who scored 16 points each. Alade Aminu added a double double of 12 points and 14 boards. As for Asvel, Jefferson (24) and Mensah-Bonsu (21) were left on their own as the rest of the team was victim of a poor shooting night.
