The top three of the Italian league all came out winners this weekend, extending the gap with the following pack.
Bo McCalebb scored 16 points in 17 minutes and the Italian Champs Siena collected its 13th victory over Sassari (92-83). Coach Peterson made it two straight wins on his return as Milan came back from Cremona with a 78-71 victory behind 20 points from Ibrahim Jaaber. Cantù managed to keep up too: it dominated Treviso 75-65 with Denis Marconato as traitor, draining 17 points in 16 minutes against his old club. Treviso is now fourth from bottom, tied with four other teams, amongst which there is also Roma, defeated in Bologna 87-79.
