Real Madrid booked its first ticket to the Euroleague Final Four in 15 years to finalize the line-up at the 2011 Turkish Airlines Euroleague Final Four in Barcelona. Madrid will meet Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv in the second semi-final on May 6 at Palau San Jordi. The first semi-final pits Panathinaikos against Montepaschi Siena. Madrid eliminated Power Electronics Valencia 66-58 in Game 5 of their best-of-five Playoffs series at Caja Magica in the Spanish capital. Defense and rebounding were the keys for the Whites, who held Valencia to 16 second-half points and outrebounded the visitors 45-36 – including 17-7 on the offensive glass. Carlos Suarez shined with 12 points and 10 rebounds to lead the winners. Ante Tomic with 9 points and 9 rebounds and Felipe Reyes with 7 points and 10 boards were also key figures in the win, while Clay Tucker matched Suarez with 12 points. Dusko Savanovic scored 19 for Valencia in defeat. Now the countdown to Barcelona can officially begin!
