Greece ended unbeaten (3-0), becoming the new champion of the U-16 Pasqua Barocca tournament, held this week-end in Ragusa (Italy). Team coached by Manos Manouselis beat Germany in the last day (65-57) showing to all the crowd its credentials since the opener. This summer, they will compete in the Division "A" European Championship in Czech Republic. It will be tough against squads like Serbia or Croatia, but for sure they will battle. Today youngster Dimitrios Stamatis ('96) shined again, finishing with 15 points (2/4 threes) and 1 steal in 22 minutes. Beside him guard Michalis Liapis ('95) added 11 (2/5 from downtown) with 5 boards and 4 steals. And at the losing effort? Gavin Schilling ('95) nailed 12 points (5/10 FG), with 7 rebounds and 2 blocks. No other player reached double-digits. Robyn Missa ('95) had 8 points, 3 boards and 1 steal.
