The Turkish Stars edged the Foreign Stars 128-127 in the annual Turkish League all-star game on Sunday. Pýnar Karþýyaka forward Birkan Batuk was named MVP after producing 26 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists to help the Turkish Stars to a come-from-behind win. Besiktas guard Muratcan Guler added 20 points, Umit Sonkol of Bornova Belediye tallied 18 points and 9 rebounds and the Fenerbahce Ulker duo of Omer Onan and Oguz Savaþ finished with 14 apiece for the winners. Efes Pilsen’s Igor Rakocevic and Bostjan Nachbar netted 20 and 19 points, respectively, for the Foreign stars, while Preston Shumpert of Galatasaray Café Crown had 14, Besiktas big man A.J. Ogilvy added 12 and FB Ulker’s Marko Tomas scored 11. Bornova guard Tyler Smith won the slam dunk contest and Onan won the three-point shootout.
