Montenegro have enjoyed a rapid rise in European basketball.
Once a part of the former Yugoslavia and then Serbia & Montenegro, the Montenegrins have been going it alone since August 2006 when the Basketball Federation gained official recognition at the FIBA Congress.
While players like Nikola Pekovic and Vladimir Dasic have led the senior team into EuroBasket for the first time this summer, there are many other contributors.
And there are also youngsters that will one day soon be making their mark in the senior teams, including 18-year-old Marko Todorovic.
The 2.09m center has been promoted during this season to the DKV Joventut Badalona first team and is playing for Pepu Hernandez.
"Pepu is a great coach," Todorovic said to Basketball World News.
"He gives you a lot of confidence, especially to young players.
"If you work well in training, he lets you play minutes on the court."
