The top two of the Italian regular season, Siena and Cantù, are making their status of favourites speak as they took a 2-0 lead in the playoff semi-finals respectively against Treviso and Milan.
Siena completed yet another run-over this season, a 94-63 home victory with all 10 players scoring 6 points or more. Rimantas Kaukenas led the pack with 17 points, while Alessandro Gentile had 13 points and 6 rebounds in defeat. It was much tighter for Cantù in the derby, although Mazzarino (13pts) and co built a 12-point lead at half time. Maarten Leunen scored 12 points, while Marko Scekic and Vladimir Micov chipped in 11 each. Lynn Greer led all scorers with 15 for Milan.
