BK Ventspils secured second place in Last 16 Group K by destroying Norrköping Dolphins 104-69 and Arturs Berzins grabbed the Player of the Week title in similarly spectacular fashion on Tuesday night.
The 23-year-old Latvian came up with a season-high 27 points on 8-of-11 shooting from the field and nine rebounds, while he also added a couple of assists and steals to round up his best performance of the season so far.
The 2.04m forward reached an efficiency index rating of 35 to claim the title ahead of Patrick Beverley, who also put on a stellar performance on Tuesday but ranked second with 31.
The 1.85m guard, a recent addition to the Spartak squad, was almost perfect in the 38 minutes he spent on the floor in the Russian side's victory over Lukoil Akademic.
The 23-year-old American scored 24 points, handed four assists and, quite impressively for a player his size, grabbed eight rebounds.
