Anwil Wloclawek and Polpharma Starogard Gdanski reached the Polish Cup final! Anwil made it to the title game by downing Trefl Sopot 77-85 in the first semi-final game in Gdynia on Friday. Paul Miller led the winners with 23 points. Nikola Jovanovic added 15 while Andrzej Pluta had 10 for Anwil. Filip Dylewicz led Trefl with 21 points. Trefl tied it a 71-71 but Miller and Pluta fuelled a 0-7 run that allowed Anwil to get a critical lead for good. Polpharma provided the biggest surprise in the Polish Cup by edging Asseco Prokom Gdynia 67-66 in the second semi-final on Saturday. Robert Skibniewski paced the winners with 15 points. Deonta Vaughn added 14, including the game-winning layup, while Uros Mirkovic had 12 for Polpharma. Tommy Adams led Prokom with 24 points. A jumper by Filip Videnov put Prokom back ahead, 64-63, with 1:13 left. Vaughn sank a floating layup but a fall away jumper by Adams made Polpharma call timeout with 5.5 seconds to go. Vaughn took over with the game-winning driving layup, as Prokom could not score in its final possession.
