Le Mans Sarthe Basket has come to terms with forward Brandon Bowman on a six-week deal to help in the absence of injured big man Alain Koffi. Bowman (204, 26) arrives from Bulgarian powerhouse Lukoil Academic, with whom he played in the Eurocup Qualifying Round earlier this season. Bowman averaged 16 points, 8 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in the two qualifying games against Aris, but his team was unable to reach the regular season. Since then he has posted 10.4 points and 5 rebounds for Lukoil in the EuroChallenge. Last season Bowman played in Turkey for Tofas, where he averaged 14.9 points and ranked sixth in the Turkish League with 7.3 rebounds per game. He has also played for Ignis Novara in Italy, Telekom Bonn in Germany and Bakersfield in the NBDL. Bowman had an excellent college basketball career at Georgetown University, finishing among the school’s top 10 all-time rebounders with 739 boards. He averaged 12.4 points and 5.8 rebounds in four years with the Hoyas. He will be eligible to play in the Eurocup starting from Last 16, Week 4.
