PGE Turow Zgorzelec made it to the Polish League semi-finals by surviving its best-of-five series against PBG Basket Poznan. Turow downed Poznan 87-70 in do-or-die Game 5 in Zgorzelec on Saturday, enough for the hosts to win the series 3-2. Torey Thomas paced the winners with 21 points. David Jackson added 18 while Konrad Wysocki and Ivan Zigeranovic each had 13 for Turow. Damian Kulig had 15 points for Poznan while Lukasz Wisniewski, Vladimir Tica and Mujo Tuljkovic each added 11 for the guests. Turow already led 26-13 after 10 minutes and boosted its margin to 42-25 at halftime. Turow managed to seal the outcome at the end of the third quarter, 67-45, as Poznan never recovered. As such, the semi-final matchups are Asseco Prokom Gdynia vs. Energa Czarni Slupsk and Turow - Trefl Sopot.
