Benetton Treviso is the new U-19 Italian Champion after winning the tournament held in Cividale del Friuli (Italy). The green squad beat Virtus Siena in the final (72-66) behind a great job of the whole group. Five players collected a double-digit valuation, with Alessandro Zanelli ('92) scoring 18 points and pulling down 8 rebounds and Croatian Dino Repesa ('92) hurting at three points line: 15 with 5/5 behind the arc (he nailed a total of 17 points in the event). But they weren't alone. Bulgarian guard Pavlin Ivanov ('93) -selected the final's MVP- added 14 and 5 assists, while Armin Mazic ('93) had 14 with 3/5 threes. Andrea Quarisa ('92) tallied 6 points, grabbing 12 rebounds. The points at three points line (13/31) were one of the keys of the win. In the losing effort, its leader Amedeo Tessitori ('94) collected a double-double (16 points and 11 rebounds) and Marco Pascolo ('93) 11 with 7 rebounds.
