Zagreb Croatia Osiguranje topped Zadar 91-85 to become the 2011 Kresimir Cosic Cup champion. Mario Kasun starred with 27 points and 9 rebounds, he was named MVP. After a close first half, Chester Mason and Pavle Marcinkovic helped Zadar jump to a 68-59 lead, but Kasun and Damir Mulaomerovic took charge to lead Zagreb back and tie the score at 73-73. The game then remained close until the final minutes. Zadar, which had most of its squad back after administrative issues forced it to field just five players in the semi-finals, missed 4 late free throws with the score at 87-85. At the other end, Krunoslav Simon and Josh Heytvelt made their free throws to lift Zagreb to the title. Mulaomerovic added 14 points for the winners, Simon added 12 and 5 assists and Ante Masic scored 11. Brandon Brown paced Zadar with 22 points and Marko Car, Ive Ivanov and Miro Bilan added 13 each. Car also dished 5 assists and Ivanov and Bilan grabbed 12 and 11 rebounds, respectively.
