Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv took down archrival Hapoel Jerusalem 107-66 on Sunday at Nokia Arena to flaunt its dominance in the Israeli League. Maccabi outscored Jerusalem 31-14 in the second quarter to take control and then dominated the last 10 minutes 33-7 to seal the rout. David Blu and Chuck Eidson scored 20 points apiece and Doron Perkins registered a triple double with 10 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists to lead Maccabi to a 19-1 record. Milan Macvan added 14 points and Guy Pnini and Sofoklis Schortsanitis had 12 apiece for the victors. Yuval Naimi scored 15 points as Jerusalem dropped to 12-8 and fell out of a tie for second place. Bnei Hasharon picked up its fourth straight win by beating Eldan Ashkelon 79-89 led by Lee Nailon’s 21 points to pass over Jerusalem for second place. Barak Netanya beat Rishon Lezion 102-88 as Eliran Gueta paced six Netanya scorers in double figures with 15 points and Maccabi Ashdod edged Hapoel Gilboa Galil 100-99 after overtime on Josh Carter’s game-winning triple.
