It took a near-perfect performance in a winning effort for any player to earn Last 16 Week 1 MVP honors, but that is what Mike Scott of BG Goettingen did on Tuesday. Gottingen succeeded in its first-ever Last 16 game, downing Le Mans 75-71, and Scott was instrumental in leading his team to victory. Scott shined with 27 points on 11-for-11 two-point and 5-for-5 free-throw shooting. Only his 0-for-2 three-point shooting denied Scott a perfect shooting night. He added 6 rebounds, a block and 5 fouls drawn to amass a performance rating index of 36, the best among all Eurocup players this week. Following Scott was Bobby Brown of Aris BSA 2003, who led his team to a 85-69 home win against Budivelnik. Brown had 23 points on 3-for-3 three-point and 4-for-4 free-throw shooting, adding 3 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 fouls drawn for a 32 index rating. Jumaine Jones and Fabio Di Bella of Pepsi Caserta each had 26 index ratings in their team's 81-76 overtime home win against Galatasaray Cafe Crown. Jones had 18 points, 11 rebounds and 2 steals while Di Bella shined with 17 points, 4 rebounds, 6 steals and 7 fouls drawn. Hasan Rizvic of Unics and Jerome Jordan of Hemofarm Stada - each with index ratings of 25 - completed the best individual performances in Last 16 Week 1.
