Asvel is by far the biggest budget of the French ProA, and the club certainly made the effort to bring in some top class individuals, but that will not be enough to get the league title this time around either. Mike Gelabale and co were stopped by Nancy in the semi-final deciding game 3, 89-75.
Very disappointing in Game 2, Tremmell Darden was back on track and leading the way. He scored 22 points and collected 9 rebounds. Akin Akingbala recovered on time from injury and that made a huge difference as he added 16 points and 17 boards. As for Asvel, Kim Tillie had 17 points and Edwin Jackson 15.
The final between Nancy and Cholet will be played in one singe game in Paris on June 11.
