The Miami Heat took a 2-0 lead in the Eastern Conference semi-finals by defeating the Boston Celtics 102-91 Tuesday at AmericanAirlines Arena. LeBron James led all scorers with 35 points, doing most of his work in the second half. With the Celtics closing late, James scored on a three-point play to push the lead to 88-80.
The Heat's Big Three was too much for the Celtics. James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh combined for 80 points, offsetting a slow night from the bench. Wade scored 28 points on 8-for-20 shooting while Bosh added 17 points and 11 rebounds. The Heat shot 45 percent from the field, including 7-for-16 from 3-point range.
Meanwhile, OKC evened up the series at 1-1 with a 111-102 victory as they took control from the third quarter behind 26 points from Kevin Durant and 24 from Russell Westbrook.
