In a remake of last year’s league final, Cholet came out on top again against Le Mans. Two games were enough for Kunter’s men to oust one of the most in-form teams if not the most in-form team of the league. J.P Baptista had another huge night for Le Mans with 23 points but a more balanced and stronger team effort of the French champs made the difference. Diot and co stayed close all game long as Cholet was having a nightmare night from the foul line being at 4/13 at one point but once the game was on the line, Vule Avdalovic, DeMarcus Nelson and Sammy Mejia all converted to qualify for the semi-final, in which it will meet either Roanne or Gravelines. Roanne tied the series at home with an 83-75 victory behind 24 points from Dylan Page, while Ricky Davis and Uche Nsonwu-Amadi added 14 apiece. The rest of the quarter-finals Game 2 are on Saturday night.
