Days after his team made a historic return to the Final Four after 15 years, Real Madrid has announced that guard Sergio Llull will be sidelined three weeks due to a leg injury. Llull was re-injured in his team's Spanish League showdown against archrivals Regal FC Barcelona on Saturday, but had not been in the best physical condition throughout his team's Turkish Airlines Euroleague Playoffs series against Power Electronics Valencia. In fact, during the final quarter of Madrid's home victory in Game 5 against Valencia, he went off court twice to be treated for leg problems. The team announced Monday that Llull has a femoral biceps tendon tear on his left leg and cannot play for three weeks. On that schedule, he would be due to return early the same week that Madrid plays the Final Four in Barcelona on May 6 and 8. Llull is Madrid's top scorer in the Euroleague at 11.5 points per game and ranks second on the team in assists at 3.1 per night.
