BG Gottingen has called upon two familiar faces to bolster the team ahead of the stretch run in the Eurocup Last 16, signing point guard Chester Frazier and registering shooting guard Nico Adamczak. Frazier (185, 24) helped the team win the FIBA EuroChallenge title last season. He averaged 3.8 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 14 EuroChallenge contests for the Violets. Last season was Frazier’s first as a professional after a standout college basketball career at the University of Illinois. He was a two-time Big Ten Conference All-Defensive Team selection and led the conference in assists as a senior in 2008-09 with 5.3 per game. Frazier finished college ranked sixth with 484 career assists.
Adamczak (192, 20) comes from the Gottingen farm team, BG 74 Gottingen, and played a limited role with BG Gottingen last season, taking part in six games. He was a product of the Alba Berlin youth system, playing there from 2006 through 2009. Adamczak has also played for the German national team at the under-16 and U-18 levels.
