Milan appointed Sergio Scariolo as the new head coach. This agreement has been reached with the nod from the Spanish Federation, as Scariolo is currently at the helm of the Spanish National team. Coach Scariolo has already proved himself at the highest level and had a very successful career so far, of which the highlights are an Italian league title with Pesaro in 1989, two Spanish league titles (Real Madrid 2000 and Malaga 2006), two Copa del Rey (Vitoria 1999, Malaga 2005) and the European Championships 2009 with the Spanish national team.
