Maccabi Electra needed to work hard before scoring a 92-96 overtime win at Ashkelon in the final game of the Israeli League regular season. The victory gave Maccabi a 26-1 record and it will face eighth-placed Barak Netanya in the quarterfinals. Maccabi beat Netanya last year in the semis. Maccabi was never able to shake the hosts throughout an exciting 40 minutes that finished 85-85. Jeremy Pargo drove to win the game in the final seconds, but Cory Carr came up to block it and force extra time. In the end Maccabi managed to hold on and David Blu sealed the game with 2 free throws with 15 seconds left. Lior Eliyahu led Maccabi with 24 points, Guy Pnini tallied 18 and 7 assists and Chuck Eidson tallied 14 points and 5 assists. Carr paced Ashkelon with 29.
