Partizan shot up to first place in the Adriatic League standings by overtaking previous leader Krka with a road win. Both teams now have 17-8 records, but the defending champs are in first place due to a tiebreaker. Union Olimpija missed a chance to join them for a three-way tie when it lost at Crvena Zvezda. Partizan, Krka and Olimpija have already clinched their spots in next month’s Adriatic League final four and will be joined by either Buducnost or Zagreb. Partizan bested Krka 62-72 behind 18 points from Curtis Jerrells and 17 from Dusan Kecman. Krka took its only lead, 40-38, midway through the third quarter, but Jerrells fueled a 2-13 response as Partizan took control for good. Krka closed to within 6 in the fourth, but Partizan had the answers. Chris Booker led Krka with 16 points and 8 rebounds. Crvena Zvezda blew out Olimpija 92-70 as Ricardo Marsh shined with 30 points. The hosts took a double-digit lead in the opening period and never let up en route to the win. Kenny Gregory led Olimpija with 15 points. Buducnost improved its chances by downing Cibona 70-80. Vladimir Dragicevic shined with 25 points, outdueling Cibona top gun Bojan Bogdanovic’s 13 points. Buducnost is now 14-11, the same as Zagreb, which lost 83-74 at CEZ Nymburk. Pavel Slezak peppered the nest for 23 points and Afik Nissim added 16 points and 5 assists for Nymburk. Hemofarm Stada spanked Zadar 71-88 as Jerome Jordan controlled the paint with 18 points on 8-of-9 shooting plus 7 rebounds. Cedevita topped Radnicki on the road 73-79 as Damjan Rudez scored 20 and Adrija Zizic offered up a double double. And Vedram Morovic’s game-winner lifted Siroki TT Kabeli over Igokea 71-73.
