Union Olimpija and Zlatorog reached the Slovenian Cup semi-finals, joining previously qualified Elektra Sostanj and Helios Domzale. In one of the most unbelievable games seen in European club basketball this season, Union Olimpija reached the Slovenian Spar Cup semi-finals by downing Krka 122-113 in triple overtime in Skofja Loka on Friday. Olimpija rallied from a 17-point deficit in the final 7 minutes of regulation and an eight-point deficit in the second extra period to win the game. Saso Ozbolt led the winners with 29 points on 4-of-5 three-pointers. Vlado Ilievski added 28 on 14-of-14 free throws - 10 of them in the final extra period to seal the outcome -, Goran Jagodnik had 17, Dino Muric got 14 while Kevinn Pinkney contributed 10 for Olimpija. Goran Ikonic led Krka with 25 points. Zlatorog topped Geoplin Slovan 72-79 in the final quarterfinals showdown also on Friday. Vladimir Panic paced the winners with 25 points. Jure Pelko added 15 while Matej Krusin led Slovan with 22. Pelko and Panic combined for 6-of-6 free throws in the final 27 seconds to keep Zlatorog out of trouble until the final buzzer.
