Ferro ZNTU defeated BC Azovmash 85-69 in Game 3 of their best-of-five quarterfinals series in the Ukrainian Superleague and now leads the series 1-2 while MBC Mykolaiv also beat Hoveria by 71-79 to close the gap in their series to 1-2 in favor of Hoveria. While Hoveria still has to close its series, BC Donetsk swept Kryvbasbasket in their own matchup by thoroughly dominating in Game 3, notching the win by 50-108 and becoming the first team to earn a spot in the semi-finals. Budivelnik, meanwhile, did manage to step forward by defeating Dnipro, 49-80, and now lead the series at 2-1, thanks to a great effort by the ‘big three’ of Lamayne Wilson, Billy Keys and Dewarick Spencer, who scored 18, 17 and 15 points, respectively. Christian Burns had 26 points and 8 rebounds to lead Ferro to a big win. Charles Thomas led Azovmash with 20 points against his former team. Ramel Curry added 13, Alexander Shaposhnikov had 11 while Pierre Pierce got 10 for the guests. Ferro already led 46-24 at halftime and kept a safe margin all the way until the final buzzer.
