Milan announced Piero Buchi was not Milan’s coach any more and it did not take long to find his substitute. It’s back to the future for Armani Jeans as Dan Peterson has been appointed new head coach. The news that the 75 year-old would take over surprised just about anybody as he had left coaching 24 years ago. However, Peterson has never totally left the game as he became one of the most appreciated commentators around. Besides, he is a legend in Milan, where he won everything there was to be won. The recent defeat in the derby against Cantù which followed the failure to reach the Euroleague top 16 was just too much for Buchi to survive. Can Peterson’s knowledge of the game, enthusiasm and winning spirit get Milan back to the glory days?
