The French champions, Cholet, is only one win away from finishing top of the regular season for the second consecutive season after its victory in Limoges 70-68 and the defeat of Chalon against Poitiers 74-75. Vule Avdalovic led all scorers with 22 points for Cholet, which is now three wins ahead of Chalon and Nancy with only three games to play. Nancy is now back in second place as Viktor Samnick drained 20 points and Tremmell Daren added 14 in its away win in Hyères-Toulon, which still remains in the playoff zone in 7th place. Indeed, currently 8th, Le Mans lost against Gravelines (4th but tied on points with Nancy and Chalon) and would need to win all remaining 3 while Hyère-Toulon would lose them all to go one step above. On the other hand, it has to look over it shoulder, where Orleans is putting pressure following its 79-68 win in Strasbourg behind 18 from Eric Campbell and 17 from Tajuan Porter. Orleans is only one win behind Le Mans, just like Le Havre, Pau and Poitiers. Vichy and Limoges are in the relegation zone.
