One round to go after yesterday’s games and the fight for playoff spot is still well alive with three teams battling for two spots. Currently seventh (19-14), Fuenlabrada failed to secure their place in the top eight by falling at home against Valladolid, one of the team that can oust them out of the post season. Indeed, Valladolid is 9th (18-13) but if it wins in Sevilla and any of Fuenla or Unicaja loses, it will be in it. Unicaja Malaga (18-13) remains 8th following its home victory against Granada (Fitch scored 17) but it faces the toughest task in the last round with a road game in Barcelona. If it loses and Valladolid wins, Unicaja will be out of the playoffs.
Meanwhile, Vitoria kept a chance of stealing the third place off Valencia thanks to its 83-80 victory over DKV. To do so, they will have to beat Lagun Aro and Valencia will have to lose against Manresa.
