Cholet was surprisingly beaten in Poitiers and leaves the key of the French league to Roanne which dominated Le Mans on Friday behind 21 points from Pape Amagou and 20 from Alex Gordon.
Thanks to its win in Orléans, Hyeres-Toulon secured its place in the top8 and will be in the ‘Semaine des As’ (the French cup), just like Asvel despite its home loss at the hands of Chalon. As the host of the competition, Pau-Orthez was already qualified but it was keen to earn its ticket on court and so ti did as it finished at a brilliant 7th place following their rout of Paris-Levallois (103-70). There were wins for Nancy, Strasbourg and Gravelines.
