When Romeo Travis buried two free throws with only 1:33 to play on Tuesday night in Sofia, it looked like Barak Netanya were going to beat favourites Lukoil Academic in their own gym.
The Israeli side had rallied from 14 points deep; just to be one down with one and a half minutes to play.
The driving force behind this comeback, which eventually did not result in a win, was forward Romeo Travis.
He brought home the EuroChallenge Player of the Week award in the third week o the Last 16 with an accumulated efficiency rating of 38.
He had 32 points and also corralled 14 rebounds, which is a special number for a 1.96m small forward.
He blocked two shots, had two assists and one steals and only turned the ball over once in 31 minutes of action.
He was perfect in his two attempts from behind the arc and shot 10 from 18 from inside. He could have finished even better, had he not shot only a mediocre six for 10 free throws.
The 26 year old ranks 6th in double-double in the EuroChallenge and can be considered as one of the main reasons that the team from Netanya reached the Last 16.
Benjamin Woodside of BCM Gravelines Dunkerque finished second with an efficiency rating of 33 as his team stayed perfect with a win over BK Ventspils that gives the French outfit a two win cushion in their Group.
Swedish outfit Norrköping Dolphins had to settle for a loss in their encounter with Benfica despite an outstanding display of Joakim Kjellboom, which earned the center the third place this week.
